MUSIC NEWS: Vera Blue makes a colourful splash with her brand new music video for 'Lie To Me'.

With colour bops and floral pops, the brand new music video from the ethereal Vera Blue perfectly encapsulates the heady yearning on her recent tune Lie To Me, while also offering a cornucopia of visual feasts born from COVID-19 limitations.

After scooping up over 1 million views for the recent live performance of Lie To Me for Youtube's Music Sessions, prismatic popster Vera Blue has continued to weave her magic into the visual realm with the recent release of an accompanying music video for the track during the week. And while the end result is a dazzling adventure of vivid hues and ravishing animation, with direction from Sydney's Onil Kotian (Angus & Julia Stone, Baker Boy) and animation from Brooklyn-based Felipe Posada (Madonna, Walk The Moon), the video ultimately came to be after the realities of a pandemic shifted usual filming plans.

"Due to Covid, we had to rethink the official video for Lie To Me as we were not able to get out and film. We had just created the amazing lyric video for the song and we approached Felipe and Onil to come back with an idea on how we could use what we had already created but bring it into a whole new world. I loved delving into new visual landscapes of colours, shapes, lighting and symbolism, and the idea of inventing an alternative reality that tells a story and captures the emotional roller coaster of falling in love again" - Vera Blue

An ode to the internal frenzy that can accompany falling in love, Lie To Me drawls lush palpitations with looming synths and the ever-familiar glassy vocals of Ms Vera Blue herself; and the accompanying clip certainly embodies the glowing soundscapes and shimmering warmth. Come get an early taste of summer and go check out the video below, and for all other Vera Blue info head HERE.
