Never ones to let the bastards get them down, glam rockers Palaye Royale have evolved from sleeping in a car between gigs to playing arena shows alongside the likes of Marilyn Manson, Rob Zombie and more since starting out back in 2008. A true modern success story, finding a significant following through their digital know-how before ever getting signed, the group have gone on to unleash a two-part debut (2016's Boom Boom Room Side A and 2918's Boom Boom Room Side 2) while constantly welding striking alt-pop with snarling rock in their own unique fashion.
Theatricality may often beget gimmicked shortcomings, but there's more to the Palaye Royale story than eyeliner and whimsical opulence; instead, a sharp and creative haven lies at the heart of the slick and swaggered grit as the gents carve aggression and heartbreak into an artistic outlet intended as much for their loyal fans as for the band themselves. Equally as heartfelt as they are darkly flashy, Palaye Royale have continually shone their gumption and creative flair to weave a sonic aesthetic that would happily accommodate the woozy love child of Royal Blood and My Chemical Romance at a New York Dolls convention. And while 2020 has found the majority of us largely confined to our homes, it also arrives bearing the brand new third full-length release for Palaye Royale, with The Bastards officially due out this Friday 29th May.
