INTERVIEW: Sam Vallen (CALIGULA'S HORSE)

Tiana Speter

They're the galloping, gallant gents of prog who have continually challenged and crafted the Aussie progressive world, and now Brisbane's beloved Caligula's Horse are gearing up for a busy couple of months ahead; traipsing overseas, working on new music and briefly bringing a dollop of nostalgia to their homeland stages with the swiftly impending Let It Grow Tour set to bust out cult classic The Tide, the Thief & River's End alongside the monumental Bloom kicking off this weekend.

Marking the group's first headline tour in a year, Let It Grow promises a night of jaw-dropping tunes, acoustic supports and a guitar masterclass from the C-Horse lads. But before they saddle up and bring their explosive live show to Brisbane, Sydney and Melbourne, we grabbed guitarist-extraordinaire and all-round awesome dude Sam Vallen to chat albums, audiences and artistic influences.

Full audio interview below.

CALIGULA'S HORSE WILL BE KICKING OFF THEIR LET IT GROW TOUR IN STYLE THIS SATURDAY WITH A HOMETOWN GIG AT THE ZOO .
