Electro pop takes a trip into an airy, coiling stratosphere with Perth duo Leopard Lake and their brand new self-titled EP.

Catapulting into existence only last November, the pairing of producer Sam Ford and vocalist Storm Wyness has very quickly gained attention with their hazy, driving tunes and atmospheric allure, culminating in their self-titled debut that unfurled late last week.

The result of some home studio magic and some sparkling production, 'Leopard Lake' is a five track adventure that flexes its artistic dexterity with sprawling synths and effortless progressions - and definitely makes solid use of Storm Wyness and her powerfully throaty pipes. There's an overall sense of calm, cohesive control throughout the EP, particularly on opener 'Further' and lead single 'Only One'. And while there's not a whole lot of deviation from the smooth, airy tones, the sheer genius in this release is some subtle, enticing songwriting that sticks with you long after the notes shimmer into the distance.
