Sailing into 2019 with new cargo in the form of frontman Ben Davis (also of Brisbane heavies Tria Mera) and new track 'Captain Benjamin Hornigold', Lavidius announced their new phase late last week with an absolute keelhauler of a tune - all roaring riffs, sturdy grooves and burgeoning melodies centred around the tale of Spanish Pirate Captain Benjamin Hornigold.
While firmly embracing some thrashing sea shanty vibes, the journey for the new-look Lavidius is just getting started, and it will certainly be an adventure worth jumping onboard for if 'Captain Benjamin Hornigold' is any indication. And we're not alone in that thought, with newcomer Ben just as optimistic, stating he is "...very excited to be involved with a hard working band that wants to push limits and make music that we all enjoy."
