SINGLE REVIEW: Two For One (THUNDER FOX)

SINGLE: Two For One ARTIST: Thunder Fox

When vintage funk meets irresistible rhythms, it's hard not to get caught up in the groove - a combo that Sydney beaches rockers Thunder Fox have well and truly mastered with their recently released swag-bomb 'Two For One'.

With a heap of bounce, saucy horns and a clear nod to the purple man himself (Prince, not Barney), 'Two For One' is a hip hop-meets-funk-meets-70s porn soundtrack bender that shows off why this lot are getting so much buzz of late - it's quirky, it's sexy as hell and when frontman Sam Dawes soars into his falsetto it jumps to a whole new level of flair.

"Two for One is a ridiculous song for a ridiculous woman who I love with all my heart, inexplicably. Only my ridiculous band mates and I could've concocted this one" says Dawes. From the woozy spoken word to the kooky funk, it's definitely a sonic representation of the group who are just as known for their grooves as they are for their outlandish live shows.

2018 is shaping up to be a pretty big year for the boys, but in the meantime you can go check out 'Two For One' below if you haven't already:
