SINGLE: 1234 ARTIST: Emigrate
1,2,3,4, I declare a riff war, and the brand new track from European alt-metallers Emigrate certainly delivers on some roaring riffage with the rockin' belter that is 1234.
Led by Richard Z. Kruspe, aka guitarist for German juggernauts Rammstein and starting off as a side project for Kruspe in 2007, Emigrate has since featured in films, roped in a dizzying array of guest vocals and now over a decade later sit poised to drop their third studio album 'A Million Degrees' in late November.
Promising a fresh production team and allowing Kruspe free reign to explore his creativity, Emigrate's upcoming release will also feature vocals from Rammstein's Till Lindemann and Billy Talent's Benjamin Kowalewicz, with Kowalewicz taking on vocal duties in the latest single and video 1234.
It's no surprise we're treated to some powerhouse vocals, pounding riffs and huge hooks, but seemingly gone are the early Emigrate days of dominating synths and modern influences - '1234' is a tap-tastic metal anthem that marks the start of some fiery things to come.
'A Million Degrees' is due out November 30th through Caroline Australia, with pre-orders live now HERE. In the meantime, you can check out the single and brand new video for 1234 below.
