What started as a triple j Like A Version has now become a fully-fledged entity etched into the legacy of American rockers Pierce The Veil, with their haunting take on the 1997 Radiohead fan-favourite now also boasting an accompanying music video that recently dropped.

With Pierce The Veil announcing the clip over the weekend (Australia time) as their "long lost, never-before-seen official music video for Karma Police", the video is a cinematic delight, boasting the band submerged underwater for the entire clip alongside a parallel abstract storyline also playing out underwater.

Aside from the absolutely killer cover fans have already come to know and love after the tune was officially released on the 2025 deluxe edition of their album The Jaws Of Life, the music video is a visual feast, with the band pulling off guitar shreds, spins and hurling drumsticks at its conclusion in pretty mesmerising (and undeniably dexterous) fashion.

“‘Karma Police’ is one of my favorite songs and during COVID, I tried to learn it on piano because I love the chords. We had the chance to perform on a show in Australia called Like A Version, where you play one of your own songs and a cover, so we put something together specifically for that. From the second we listened to it in the recording booth in Australia, we knew it was more than a one-time thing, so we did a radio campaign for it. The song came about in a really organic way, which made it a really fun experience.” - Vic Fuentes

Released in 2023, the original The Jaws Of Life album debuted at #14 on the Billboard Top 200, #2 on the Alternative Chart, and claimed the #1 spot on the Top Hard Rock Albums Chart. The LP’s lead single Emergency Contact became the band’s first #1 single at Alternative Radio. Combined with other standout tracks from The Jaws of Life - Pass The Nirvana, Even When I'm Not with You and 12 Fractures (feat. Chloe Moriondo) - the record’s singles have amassed over 140 million streams to date. The Jaws of Life (Deluxe) contained two new tracks - the band’s take on Radiohead's Karma Police which was released in 2024 and a new single, Kiss Me Now.

As an extremely biased fan of the original, Pierce The Veil's take on Karma Police is a stunning modern update without betraying what gave the original so much maudlin charm in this writer's opinion. Peep the brand new clip for Pierce The Veil's Karma Police below!
