It's been 25 years since legendary Aussie punk icons Nitocris disbanded, but in 2026 the five-piece are reuniting for one night only this October, set to perform a show in their very own stomping ground, Sydney, and also set to release a double vinyl album in conjunction with this reunion show, set to take over Marrickville Bowlo on Saturday 3 October.

Emerging in the early 90s, Nitocris stomed the scene with their all-female lineup and insatiable live performances. Scoring an ARIA Award nomination for Best Independent Release in 2001 for their EP Manic, Nitocris were also one of Australia's first all-female punk rockers of the "grot grrrls" movement (linked to the riot grrrls movement in the US).

With two full-lengths under their belts, including 1994's Screaming Dolorous and 2000's self-titled, Nitocris also released a slew of EPs along the way, and were renowned for their relentless touring schedule which spanned Big Day Out, headline runs and tours with The Cult, THe Whitlams, Screaming Jets, Deep Purple, Rancid, Midnight Oil, Pennywise, Suicidal Tendencies and many more.

Recently sparking reunion rumours via their social media channels, Nitocris have answered the prayers of many rock'n'roll devotees with today's news of the reunion show and bundle options for tickets, and more news to come for the planned limited edition vinyl release.

"There is a bundle option for a ticket to the show and a limited edition Vinyl release which we will share more details on in a couple of days," the band shared via socials.

"Go at it! We can't wait to see everyone! HOORAY!"
