The 'Stray Dogs' Are Out: Conor Mason + Tiana Speter Chat New Nothing But Thieves Album
A little over a decade ago, a band from Essex in England released their self-titled debut album. Channeling moments of Jeff Buckley swoon with early Radiohead hues and a delectable raw energy often missing in modern rock, Nothing But Thieves instantly struck a chord with listeners with their maiden record Nothing But Thieves; and from there, a juggernaut would grow.
Now a band with a fortified global status, over 2 billion streams worldwide and ongoing chart success, Nothing But Thieves have also cultivated something few bands can truly master: an ability to evolve their sound beyond genre confines or critical expectation and still retain their signature essence of unique yet approachable rock time and time again.
Helmed with the otherworldly might of frontman Conor Mason, NBT more recently dipped their toes into a neon-soaked dystopian wonderland with their 2023 album Dead Club City (which scored them their debut #1 album). But in 2026, we're certainly not in Kansas and/or the Dead Club City anymore, and Nothing But Thieves have instead found themselves returning to their roots and seeking to capture their own live energy and flow with their brand new album Stray Dogs, which officially released into the world today via RCA and Sony Music Australia.
At its core, Stray Dogs speaks to the power of community, belonging and the collective shared experiences that unite outsiders, including the immediate ‘stray dogs’ in Nothing But Thieves' own world and their dedicated legion of fans.
