SINGLE Everywhere You're Not (feat. Dante Knows) // ARTIST RACKETT
Taking her glistening indie pop to brand new heights, Sydney artist RACKETT unleashes another neon-fuelled delight with the radiant new track Everywhere You're Not cementing RACKETT as an electro-pop prodigy.
Since rebranding from punk to DIY pop princess late last year, Aussie artist RACKETT has recently been doling out hypnotic bangers like a neon Willy Wonka with her previous releases ILY Alley, Machinations, Oxytoxic and Crush spinning sonic confection all over town. And as RACKETT continues to edge closer to the release of her debut mini-album due out this November, her latest track Everywhere You're Not ups the ante yet again, this time whipping up some electronic euphoria, alongside the feature of New York-born, Sydney-based rapper Dante Knows.
Melding serene ambient choruses with punchy electronica and RACKETT's lush vocals, Everywhere You're Not is a swaggering bundle of electro-pop that showcases the ongoing recalibration of RACKETT alongside a memorable 16 bars from one of RACKETT's personal favourites:
“‘Everywhere You’re Not’ is about freedom and liberation from an ex-lover. It’s a realisation that the world is a big place full opportunities and the awakening of possibilities from the limitations of staying in one place, with one person. As a massive Dante Knows fan I was thrilled to have him on the single, I saw him perform in Sydney in late 2019 and have been following his music ever since. I think he’s one of the most talented artists I’ve discovered and as the first feature I’ve ever released, it’s a big moment for me” - RACKETT
Co-written, produced and mixed by Dave Hammer (Lime Cordial, Mia Rodriguez) and mastered by Andrew Edgeston (Amy Shark, Tia Gostelow), Everywhere You're Not takes a slightly duskier turn than its predecessors, but still bearing the now-trademark perk of a RACKETT 2.0 tune. And accompanied by a perfect visual feast, with a music video inspired by ASAP Rocky's L$D, there's plenty to immerse yourself in while you wait for the release of the impending mini-album from RACKETT later this year.
