In the latest episode of the Destroy All Lines interview series A Peek Behind The Lines, The Soundcheck's Tiana Speter spends time with the very talented Ryan Kirby from Texan metalcore legends Fit For A King.

Fresh off the back of releasing their brand new album Lonely God in August, Fit For A King are currently on the road supporting The Plot In You for an epic run of shows down under.

Erupting out of Texas in 2011, Fit For A King swiftly carved out a name for themselves with a blistering style rooted in metal and hardcore, while also balancing out their raucous tendencies with plenty of hypnotic hooks and searing honesty for good measure. Releasing their breakout album in 2013, Creation/Destruction which debuted at #6 on the Hard Rock Chart, Fit For A King have gone on to command multiple Top 5 debuts on the Billboard Charts, generate millions of streams, including fan-favourite tracks like When Everything Means Nothing, The Price of Agony and Breaking the Mirror, and have extensively toured the globe with Killswitch Engage, Motionless In White, I Prevail, Parkway Drive and The Devil Wears Prada. The group released their seventh studio album, 2022's The Hell We Create, which scored critical acclaim for its soundscapes, instrumentation and lyrical vulnerability, and their latest opus Lonely God levels things up to insatiable new heights. Ultimately, Fit For A King cherish unwavering honesty, even under dark skies, and their live show is the stuff of legend.

Before their return down under in January (and in fact, way before the album even released!), Tiana grabbed some time with FFAK frontman Ryan Kirby to chat demolishing expectations, harnessing their core and some memorable Australian touring moments that take us right to the outback (and some questionable items found in bed sheets). All that and more below!

Last show this Friday, don't miss it Brisbane!
