featuring a full Conference Program at the Queensland Multicultural Centre on October 8 and a spectacular line-up

of performers at The Fortitude Music Hall, Meanjin/Brisbane, on October 9, 2025.

Artists include Kate Miller-Heidke, Missy Higgins, ‘Babyshakes’ Dillon, Sarah McLeod, Arrkula Yinbayarra (ft.

Shellie Morris) from remote NT, Donna Simpson and Vikki Thorn of The Waifs, teen prodigy IXARAS, and mezzo

soprano Aylish Ryan.

Australian broadcaster and author Yumi Stynes returns as co-host with Australia’s rising star, operatic soprano,

Nina Korbe.

The AWMA House Band, featuring some of Australia's top female musicians, Zoe Hauptmann (AWMA Music

Director & Bassist), Sarah Belkner (Keys & Vocals), Kath Halloran (Guitarist & Vocals), and Lozz Benson (Drums),

will be accompanying the extraordinary musical talent on the night.

In keeping with the AWMA 2025 theme, ‘Youth, Leadership & Legacy’, Australian Women in Music is incredibly

proud to launch this year’s Program. With an extraordinary lineup of artists, a dynamic Conference Program, Black

Carpet Arrivals event, Awards Ceremony, Concert and After Party, AWMA has never been stronger. Since 2018,

AWMA has recognised in excess of 2500 artists, leaders and music practitioners, with a strong focus on elevating

First Nations women, culturally-diverse voices and amplifying regional & remote representation. Australian Women

in Music is committed to delivering a culturally safe and inclusive platform to foster long-term structural change

across the sector and "AWMA is doing just that”, said Founding Executive Producer & Program Director Vicki Gordon.

With 20 AWMA recipients to be announced including the 2025 AWMA Honour Roll recipient, Universal Music

Australia Lifetime Achievement Award and Australian Women in Music Inspiration Award, AWMA 2025 promises to

be another unforgettable night of celebration and recognition.

The AWMA Conference is a dynamic thought leadership platform built to share insights and ideas to provoke new

ways of thinking. The event highlights diverse experiences and perspectives to amplify the voices of First Nations

women, female and gender diverse individuals across all areas of the Australian music industry. This year’s ‘In

Conversation’ will be delivered by Brittany Long, a live music and entertainment photographer on wheels, known for

capturing the unfiltered atmosphere and emotion of live performance. Now in its sixth year, the AWMA 2025

Conference Program includes a powerful series of forums, conversations and themes exploring remote First

Nations women's perspectives, youth engagement, accessibility, music technology, leadership and legacy.

The Australian Women in Music Awards & Conference Program is made possible with support from the

Queensland Government and is assisted by the Australian Government through Music Australia and the Office of

the Arts. AWMA is proudly sponsored by Brisbane City Council, the City of Gold Coast and is supported by

corporate, industry, and community partners
