Due to overwhelmingly popular demand, Hockey Dad's recently announced Alive At The Drive-In has added a second and final show with two nights of Hockey Dad mayhem awaiting on July 31st and August 1st at Bulli Showground in the fair town of Wollongong.
Coinciding with the band's release day of their upcoming album Brain Candy, the first announcement of the band's innovative live COVID-safe evening saw the event sold out in 5 minutes. And after much convincing, the local authorities have given their blessing for a second evening of car-bound live music shenanigans.
Offering fans of all ages a chance to slowly return to the sorely missed live music experience, all punters will be able to watch the show from the comfort and safety of their own car with audio blasted via FM radio broadcast, while completely complying with the NSW public health act. Promising an evening befitting of the group's tasty garage rock flair, Hockey Dad will also be joined by Wollongong locals The Pinheads, as well as the promise of some additional top-secret surprises ready to dazzle punters on the night.

Also featuring a big screen at the event screening the epic surf doco Rage 3, the Alive At The Drive-In nights may be a slight change of pace for fans used to cutting loose in the crowds - but it's certainly a great initiative to get live music pumping yet again during these strange times, and no doubt a welcome way for fans to help usher in the brand new album from Hockey Dad as well.
Tickets for the second At The Drive-In event (Saturday August 1st) go on sale tomorrow Thursday June 11, with only 400 car spots up for grabs. So walk, don't run to get your hands on this final show, and get pumped for what's guaranteed to be a spooky night of killer musical fun.
