MUSIC NEWS: Brisbane desert rockers Major Electric officially release their first ever music video!

Embracing vintage grooves with modern smatterings, Brisbane rockers Major Electric are no strangers to making dynamic strides into the unknown, not only with their debut album Eyes On The Prize back in June, but now also with a sharp and stirring music video out today that cements the group's dedication to experimentation.

Drawing on influences from all over time and space, the end sonic result for Brissie quartet Major Electric is one of eclectic shifts and driving energy, as best evidenced on their debut album. From tastes of the Chili Peppers on tracks like 'Magic Castle' to Royal Blood-esque stompers ('Eyes On The Prize') and gripping hard-meets-folk rock ('Sin'), there's healthy amounts of contrast as 'Eyes On The Prize' journeys across seven tracks. And while at times you may pause to wonder if the same band doling out boisterous desert rock are also peeking into some prog, there's something for everyone on the Major Electric menu.

Without a doubt, one of the jewels in the crown for Major Electric's recent release is their lead single 'Easy To Kill', a desert rock blazer that hurls blazing guitars across woozy vocals and booming rhythmics, while also detailing the hollowness of war, as the band explain:

"Enter the battlefield to witness a story of courage and sacrifice; exploitation and futility, told by a soldier fighting for a forgotten cause" - Major Electric

And in quite a poetic turn of events, the band's first ever single clocks up another first today with the official release of Major Electric's first ever music video for 'Time To Kill'. Teaming with the track's military themes and highlighting the potent impact of war with some pretty powerful imagery, the video for 'Time To Kill' (elegantly produced by visual spice-merchant Adrian Goleby) fittingly sums up the Major Electric MO: full-bodied, memorable and powerfully unique, and it ultimately sets the band in tantalising reach of exploring and evolving their sound further with their next endeavours.

MAJOR ELECTRIC'S DEBUT ALBUM 'EYES ON THE PRIZE' IS OFFICIALLY OUT IN THE WORLD NOW - PLUS BE SURE TO CHECK OUT THEIR BRAND NEW MUSIC VIDEO OFFICIALLY OUT TODAY BELOW.
