SINGLE: Home Now ARTIST: Huntington
Facing an existential crisis or just need something cozy in your eardrums? Come on home to a sweeping brew of indie rock and synthy sorcery with the tasty new track 'Home Now' dropping this week from Brissie quintet Huntington
After forming in late 2016 via a Gumtree ad and beers, the Huntington crew draw on the heavenly stylings of fellow Aussie indie rockers Holy Holy with the electronic whimsy of Foals, emerging ultimately with a charming sound that continues to evolve and mature.
Running hot after their debut EP release 'Lone Tree' earlier this year, Huntington aren't messing around in the latter part of 2018, diving straight back in with 'Home Now'. The track is a creamy, lush and dance-tastic rocker that dangles pulsating guitars and warm hugs freely - but with a considerable boost of self-assured strength that signals the band are settling into their element with this new material.
Of the track, frontman Kyle Morley says: "Home Now to me is about being where you feel at home. For some that may be on the beach, others traveling, but for me it's playing my guitar to a group of dancing people at a show. That feeling just can't be explained. We wanted this song to really hit hard to a live audience sonically and emotionally, I really believe we've achieved that".
'Home Now' is due out this Friday, but in the meantime you can grab a sneak peek below.
