RUMINATION LEADS TO BEWITCHING ROCK AS NORTHERN NSW TRIO BEAST MACHINE BUST OUT AN EMOTIVE HEAVY-HITTER WITH NEW TUNE CRAWLING PREMIERING TODAY ON THE SOUNDCHECK.
After some very short years in existence as a band, Beast Machine have ticked off two US tours, a bunch of tunes and some significant home-grown attention along the way (and all before releasing their first ever full-length). But 2020 isn't just a new year for the Northern NSW gents; it's also set to carve out a sigificant milestone for the group with the impending release of their self-titled debut full-length due out late March - and a tasty sneak peek into what's to come with the group's second single Crawling officially due out this Friday.
Sparking off from their emotive 2019 tune Time Slowed Down, Crawling is Beast Machine in swaying beast mode, packed full of shifting dynamics, nomadic melodics and restrained ferocity that hints at the thrashier bones behind Beast Machine while deftly showcasing the group's ability to weave a relatable rock rager:
‘Crawling was a form of therapy. At the time making music was about the only thing that got me through the day. I was working a job in a very toxic environment and I had to drag myself out of bed every morning. It felt like I was crawling through the front door unsure of where the next drama was coming from. Drama seemed to be the sport in that place, and there was a feeling of paranoia because everyone was being watched and scrutinised for the smallest of fuck ups. All I wanted to do was get the fuck out of there, problem was there was nowhere else to go.’ Reg Barber ( Vox/Guitar)
