Germany's The Butcher Sisters Interview With Parkway Drive Just Gets Better Following 'Bierosaufus Ex' Video Release

If you're a Parkway Drive fan and you're on social media, chances are you may have spied a collab post recently with a German band called The Butcher Sisters (aka TBS). With an on-screen caption "This gotta be the worst ParkwayDrive [sic] Interview of all time", the clip features TBS members Alexander Bechtel and Nicklas Stroppel "interviewing" PWD's Jeff Ling and Ben Gordon, completed with Bechtel decked out in an official Ocean Grove hoodie and Stroppel wearing a gloriously bad DIY Parkway Drive bootleg shirt.
It's only a short interview, but things get off to a beautifully awkward start, a la Between Two Ferns and/or the "will you wear wigs" Elijah Wood interview from the LOTR press days, with Stroppel asking "when you're not human, you're dog....are you then Barkway Drive?". From here it only gets better with awkward pauses and stares that linger a touch too long - and Ling and Gordon clearly about to break at all times.
While some people in the comments section on Instagram questioned if the guys were all in on the joke or not, a follow up post earlier today showed the outtakes, and also confirmed that everyone was entirely all in on the awkward brilliance.
But beyond this now being my current favourite band interview to date, it also introduced me to The Butcher Sisters and their maniacal brand of German-infused rap, metal and general antics. Most recently dropping a music video for their track Bierosaufus Ex, taken from their EP of the same name unveiled earlier this month, a deeper dive into TBS reveal a band with a razor-sharp sense of humour and blisteringly fun tunes if you're open to a cacophony of hardcore, metal, hop hop, electronica and the occasional burp/weird sound effect.
Already primed for a bunch of European shows in early 2026, TBS spent 2025 headlining in Europe, performing at Nova Rock Festival, Jera on Air, Impericon Festival, Wacken Open Air, Open Flair Festival, Reload Festival and many more alongside rocking a bunch of Adidas, scooters, chaos pouches and bucket hats onstage, and releasing their third LP, Das Weiße Album, and the Bierosaufus Ex EP.
